This site is the visual world of Andre, a visual artist. It is centered on visible data, and it is the home of The Visible Data newsletter and its projects.
The Visible Data grew out of Andre's attempt to make data appealing and visible: to take numbers that usually sit unseen in tables and reports and give them a form people want to look at.
His career has been about translation. He takes abstract, technical and scientific content, and data that would otherwise stay obscured, and makes it digestible.
Andre has years of experience working with data from many fields and sectors. He is a seasoned humanitarian, researcher and artist, with expertise in data visualization.
He is passionate about social issues and about human-centered approaches, starting from the people behind the numbers.
